Discover Current Prepaid Card

How is the Discover Current Card different from a credit card and a bank debit card?

With a credit card, you receive a line of credit that you repay either the entire balance, or make monthly installment payments with interest. If you spend more than the credit limit you have to pay over the limit fees.

When you use a debit card, funds come directly out of your checking account, but you still run the risk of being overdrawn and incurring large overdraft fees.

The Discover Current Card is a deposit account that allows parents to decide where and how much a teen can spend and it ensures that they can’t spend more than they have. Using the card won’t affect a teen’s credit history. There are no overlimit or overdraft fees and no interest charges.
